Indian Contingent at ICOH 2024

The Indian contingent made a remarkable presence at the ICOH 2024, held from April 28th to May 3rd, 2024, in Marrakech, Morocco. Comprising 35 members, including office bearers from the Indian Association of Occupational Health (IAOH) and ICOH 2027 Organizing Committee members, the team actively engaged with delegates and attendees. The Organizing Committee briefed the ICOH Board regarding preparations for the mega event ICOH 2027.

A dedicated stall in the exhibition area served as a platform for promotional activities regarding ICOH 2027. The response was overwhelming, with over 800 delegates from over 24 countries expressing their interest by signing up for the inaugural offer and pre-registering for the upcoming triennial Congress in Mumbai, scheduled for February 2027.

The Indian team’s participation was impactful, with members contributing to Plenary and Semi-plenary sessions, as well as presenting Free Scientific Oral papers and posters. A significant highlight of the event was the formal handover of the ICOH Congress flag to the ICOH 2027 organizing team, led by Dr. S.M. Shanbhag, during the closing ceremony of ICOH 2024.
