How to Apply for a Conference Visa

Visa Information

All overseas delegates attending the 35th International Congress on Occupational Health (ICOH 2027) in Mumbai (14–19 February 2027) must obtain a Conference Visa to enter India (not a tourist or business visa), unless they are from visa-exempt countries.

The ICOH 2027 Organising Committee will provide official supporting documents to registered and fully paid delegates and exhibitors to support their visa application.

Steps to Apply

Step 1: Register & Complete Payment

Register and complete payment for the conference:

Step 2: Receive Supporting Documents

After successful registration and payment:

  • Within 2 weeks (from August 2026 onwards), delegates will receive an email containing the official visa supporting documents
  • Additionally, documents can be downloaded from the ICOH 2027 dashboard

Eligible participants will receive:

  • Official Letter of Invitation
  • Political Clearance (Ministry of External Affairs, Government of India)
  • Event Clearance (Ministry of Home Affairs & Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, Government of India)
Step 3: Apply for Your Conference Visa

A. e-Conference Visa

B. Regular (Paper) Conference Visa
Apply online and submit physically:

  • Complete the online form
  • Print and sign the application
  • Submit at nearest IVAC / Embassy / Consulate

C. Country-Specific Applications

  • Bangladesh nationals: https://ivacbd.com
  • Nationals of certain countries (including China, Pakistan, Afghanistan, Iraq, Sudan, Hong Kong SAR) must apply via regular paper visa process

Visa Exemptions

  • Citizens of Nepal and Bhutan do not require a visa
  • OCI (Overseas Citizen of India) cardholders do not require a visa

Important Timeline

  • Visa applications can typically be submitted up to 120 days before travel
  • Delegates are strongly advised to apply at least 6–8 weeks in advance
