Message from ICOH President

A Journey Toward Global Responsibility for Workers’ Health.

It is my great pleasure to release the Second Announcement of the 35th International Congress on Occupational Health (ICOH 2027), to be held in Mumbai, India, in February 2027. Thanks to the dedicated efforts of the International and National Organizing Committees, 11 distinguished scientists have accepted invitations to deliver keynote and plenary lectures across diverse disciplines in the broad field of occupational health and safety.

The International Commission on Occupational Health (ICOH), founded in 1906, is the oldest scientific association in the field of occupational health and safety. ICOH has about 2,000 Individual, Sustaining, and Affiliate members from more than 100 countries worldwide. Recognized by the United Nations, ICOH works closely with the International Labour Organization (ILO) and the World Health Organization (WHO). Since its establishment, ICOH has organized its flagship event, the Triennial Congress, as a global platform for advancing knowledge and collaboration in workers’ health.

The ICOH Congress offers a unique opportunity to engage with colleagues and learn about the latest advances in occupational health. It is a harmonized Congress of 37 Scientific Committees, public institutions, and professional associations. ICOH’s scope extends beyond traditional occupational settings to include personal health care, mental health, and new social and technological contexts such as platform work, the informal sector, and vulnerable workforces. The Congress also explores new challenges and opportunities in occupational health within the AI-driven era, where digital transformation reshapes how and where we work. The up-to-date knowledge shared here enriches professional development and improves workers’ health globally.

I warmly invite all professionals in occupational health and safety, regardless of background or specialty, to join us. Let us share our experiences and wisdom in Mumbai, and continue advancing the health, safety, and dignity of workers worldwide.

We look forward to welcoming you to Mumbai!
